About The Initiative
Shri Balkrishna Vithaldas Doshi, a doyen of architecture and a fatherly figure for the Ambuja Neotia Parivaar, had a profound three-decade-long association with the Group. He was instrumental in designing and planning Ambuja Neotia’s first social housing project, Udayan, which became a model for social housing across the country.
As a Pritzker laureate, and a Padma Vibhushan recipient BV Doshi’s influence extended far beyond Udayan. He played a pivotal role in numerous other projects for the group.
His guidance and inspiration have constantly motivated the Ambuja Neotia team, shaping the Group’s projects and philosophy. His strong belief in humanist architecture has indelibly marked the Group’s design philosophy.
To honour his remarkable legacy, Ambuja Neotia is hosting the BV Doshi Memorial Exhibition. This exhibition celebrates his role as a mentor, inspiration, and guide.

We are honoured to announce the 2nd B.V. Doshi Memorial Exhibition 2025, a tribute to the enduring legacy of Shri B.V. Doshi, one of India’s greatest architectural minds.
The inaugural ceremony will take place on 28th August 2025, 5:30 PM onwards at Rangmanch, Raajkutir, Kolkata
This year’s edition will exclusively showcase the inspiring works of Ar. Girish Doshi, Principal Architect of Navkar Architects, and a close associate and mentee of Shri Doshi. Through his practice, Girish Doshi continues to carry forward the ethos of humane, context-driven architecture that B.V. Doshi championed.
